When it comes to different ways of storing rings, there are a couple of things that need to be taken into account. Do you like to travel, or are you staying in one place? Do you need to make sure that all of your supplies make it to a show? We will explore different ways to store rings to better help you figure out what storage technique best suits you.
The first container we will look into it Really Useful Boxes. This method of storage isn't super cheap, but they're effective. They have a box shape, with a fully removable lid that is attached by wing-like latches. Typically, they are found ad Office Depot/Office Max. That being said, there is an off brand that is sold at Walmart in the office section that I feel is an all around better item.

Pro's:
Stack-able
Multiple Colors
Fit a decent amount of rings
Easily labeled as there is plenty of flat surface
Con's:
The ones at Office Max/Depot open easily without re-reinforcement.
The price can get a little up there, especially if you try to order directly from the manufacturer
As with all storage, takes up a decent amount of space.
As I have said previously the off brand at Walmart is cheaper, and I trust the latches to stay put more than I do the name brand boxes, so take that into account when shopping.
The next option for ring storage is specimen cups (and I mean un-used because, well, ick). There are a few reasons that specimen cups are super useful for storage, and there are quite a few options.

Pro's:
Secure lid prevents rings from slipping away (After all, they are technically meant for a particular fluid...)
Stack-able
Can be easily labeled on both side and top of container
Multiple sizes and colors to choose from
Con's:
Like the Really Useful Boxes, the cups take us a decent amount of space, so having a dedicated shelving unit is worthwhile.
At stores such as Hobby Lobby and Michael's, there is a decent amount of storage options available to the masses. However, even though there is some convenience involved, there are some drawbacks to the items that are available. One of the first products I used to store my ring collection (because who doesn't have a collection of rings or doesn't realize that is what's going to happen...) was the multi-compartment storage case.. There are some upsides to these, but also some major downsides.

Pro's:
Many of the same ring size can be stored in one convenient location
Again, Stack-able
Single ring sizes can be stored with multiple other colors
Lid can be labeled however may fit your needs.
Con's:
The lid doesn't stay closed very well during transit
great for a single size ring in multiple colors, but if there are multiple size rings, they tend to be mixed up
The lid does not provide a secure space for ring storage, as rings may slip from one compartment to another
Although the lid may be labeled, it isn't terrible easy to label the individual compartments, so some time and effort needs to be applied
Another option is the Drawer Bin Cabinet, available in hardware stores and sometimes craft stores. The nice thing about these, is that you can put your rings into a draw and they are easily accessible, but there are also some drawbacks, especially if portability is an issue.

Pro's:
The Drawer Bins provide for a large volume of ring storage in a small amount of space
Easily labeled on the front side of each unit
Each set of Drawer Bins can be stacked to maximize space and volume
Comes in multiple sizes and configurations
Con's:
If you plan on moving them around, this is definitely not the storage unit for you! None of the drawers seal, allowing for rings to escape captivity
Although I find them easy to use, if they're not attached to the wall, they are easily knocked over
Ziploc bags are the cheapest option for storing your rings, and there are quite a few reasons to use them. Aside from being readily available at most grocery stores, they provide a suitable home for your rings that some of the other options may not have fulfilled.

Pro's:
Easily store rings in a sealed container
Harder for rings to escape captivity that other options
Easily labeled, including with just sharpie if that's your thing
Comes in multiple sizes
Easily "stacked" with other baggies
Con's:
Limited colors
If craft fairs and shows are your thing, they don't look super professional
These are just a few of the options for ring storage. Ultimately, it comes down to what suits you and your needs best. All I can do is provide a couple of options that might be of interest, Possibilities are endless! When it comes down to it, there are too many options to lsit, but I hope this clears some stuff up whe it comes to choosing storage.
