Anodized aluminum is a great alternative to enameled copper and other materials. Like enameled copper, the coloring is an outer layer of coloring that is added during a chemical bath around the aluminum. This coating holds up better than other coatings would. However, it is prone to fading and chipping when put into certain situations.
Some skin types wear at the coloring faster than others. Exposing the bracelet to chemicals like bleach will also cause the coloring to start coming off. It can also start to fade with continuous wear.
Even though the coloring may start to fade, it typiclly takes a decent amount of time. Do not be concerned.
